Your project should be based on the microprocessor described in class, but you should customize it for a specific application. What is the application you propose for the chip you are designing?
What design constraints follow from the application? (Which specifications will be more important or less important in this chip.) What will be the main changes to the baseline architecture described in class (additional instructions, registers, functional blocks, etc.)?
