About the Event

EM.CUBE is a modular software environment for electromagnetic modeling and design, which features several distinct simulation engines. EM.CUBE can be used to solve a wide range of electromagnetic radiation, coupling, scattering, propagation and compatibility problems with many applications in communication and radar systems, electronic sensors, high speed digital circuits, biological systems, remote sensing, electronic warfare, etc. In this webinar, we will present an overview of EM.CUBE’s modeling capabilities and its underlying computational engines using a live demonstration. In particular, we will showcase EM.CUBE’s FDTD and Planar modules and demonstrate how to model, analyze and optimize a number of electromagnetic devices such as filters, power dividers, antennas, interconnects and metamaterial structures.

Biography

Dr. Kaz Sabet received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Michigan in 1995, where he was a Rackham doctoral fellow. In 1994 he founded EMAG Technologies Inc. in Ann Arbor. EMAG has been providing innovative RF solutions for both defense and commercial industries for the last seventeen years. The Emagware division of the company (www.emagware.com) offers computer aided design and simulation tools. The other divisions of EMAG provide electric and magnetic field probe systems and measurement solutions as well as state-of-the-art phased array technologies for tracking, guidance and radar applications. Dr. Sabet is a senior member of IEEE. He received the 2000 IEE Marconi Award in Electronics and Communications.
