About the Event
An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in quantum information theory with a focus on quantum communication. Specific goals for the group include: (1) developing protocols for quantum cryptography, (2) estimating numerical invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource.
Our meetings start officially at 10:20am. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend.
At the meeting on September 26th, Yaoyun Shi will discuss the paper "Operational Framework for Nonlocality" by R. Gallego, et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 109, 070401 (2012))
