Distributed information processing with applications to sensor networks and video coding

About the Event

With the recent emergence of application areas like distributed wireless sensor networks, video-over-wireless systems, multimedia cellular telephony and multi-camera surveillance systems, and media security, there has been a renewal of interest in distributed information processing, and in the recognition of the need for constructive and computationally efficient algorithms in order make these systems a reality. In this talk, we consider basic approaches used in distributed processing and their applications.
