Quantum Research Group Meeting

Thursday, June 06, 2013
2:00pm - 3:30pm
2733 Beyster Bldg.

About the Event

An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in quantum information theory with a focus on quantum communication. Specific goals for the group include: (1) developing protocols for quantum cryptography, (2) estimating numerical invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource. All faculty and students are welcome to attend. At the meeting on June 6th, Patrick Ion will give a presentation entitled "Quantum Stochastic Processes: A Sketch."
