About the Event

Computer Science Education Week takes place Dec 9 - 15 and is an opportunity to raise awareness of computing and its potential for impact in our lives. The US Congress chose this particular week for CSEdWeek in recognition of Grace Murray Hopper's birthday, December 9, 1906, and her extraordinary contributions to the field of computer science.


Photo Contest: Help Us Capture A Week in the Life at CSE

We’d like you to capture this week in photos! Take some photos of life at CSE and email them to Life-at-CSE@eecs.umich.edu along with your name(s) and short descriptions. We'll post entries to our website shortly after they are received. A prize will be awarded for the best photo!
Monday, Dec. 9 from 8:00am – Noon Friday, Dec. 13. Winners announced Friday afternoon.

Computer Games showcase

Come to see, play and vote for your favorite video games built by seniors in EECS 494, Computer Game Design and Development.
Friday, Dec. 13 from 7:00 - 9:00pm, Tishman Hall, Beyster Building.

Engineering for Grace Showcase

Come to see engineering for the greater good in action, as EECS 481 students demo games/apps/communication devices for a young lady with cerebral palsy.
Wednesday, December 11 from Noon - 1:30pm in 1690 Beyster Building and Tishman Hall.
