Aranya Chakrabortty received the B.E. degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 2004 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, in 2005 and 2008, respectively, all in electrical engineering. From 2008 to 2009, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Washington, Seattle. From 2009 to 2010, he was an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Texas Tech University, Lubbock. Since 2010, he has been a faculty member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, where he is an associate professor. His research interests are in all branches of control theory with application to electric power systems. He is currently an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology and IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and a member of the IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE. In 2011, he received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award. (Based on document published on 14 March 2019).
