2/13/23: MESH New Resources

The MESH lab is now offering more resources! Aside from the weekly soldering lessons and Altium lessons, we are now also offering weekly Office Hours on Embedded Systems and 3D printing. Ask Allan about the resin printers that are running in our lab! Check the calendar to see what activities are taking place, and sign up for a lesson!

9/26/21: MESH Reopening For Fall 2021

MESH is re-starting this semester! Soldering lessons are now available. Check out the sign-up forms and schedule a lesson today. More lessons will also be on the way. If you have any questions or need assistance related to embedded systems, feel free to contact our lab's staff.

3/16/20: MESH closed for the semester

Unfortunately, MESH will be closing for the rest of the semester due to shutdown of the university due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This means all lessons and office hours are cancelled. 09/01/14: MESH reopening and Michigan Hackers office hours

The MESH facilities have reopened. The lab now sports new equipment, like five CAEN computers, a new soldering station, and lots of whiteboards. Come by and check us out! Michigan Hackers are taking on office hours for Fall 2014 - swing by the Calendar to see what's available!

05/13/14: MESH Remodel May 2014 through August 2014

The MESH facilities will be under renovation over the Spring and Summer semesters 2014. Regular scheduled office hours and lessons will be postponed until the dust settles. You can still get help with your project by contacting MESH staff. Schedule your one-on-one counseling session today!

01/20/14: State Farm gives $50,000 donation to Student Projects Lab

We are extraordinarily pleased to be able to announce that State Farm will be providing a $50,000 grant for hardware in the student projects lab. We've got huge plans for this money including improved fabrication facilities and a library of hardware available for checkout to students. A brief ceremony will be held on January 30th at 11am marking this donation.

10/23/13: Office Hours Change

There has been a slight change to the office hours schedule. Pat's hours have moved up by one hour. Pat's office hours are not from 1:30 to 3:30 on Mondays.

9/15/13: Welcome Fall 2013

We have and exciting semester planned for you all! For the first time, we have 4 (yes count them, 4) highly intelligent students holding office hours to help you with all of your embedded systems needs! 5/3/2013: Summer is here!

We will resume shortened office hours and lessons over the Summer break. Come in for open office hours on Monday afternoons, or by appointment. Lessons will be offered Monday after office hours. Sign up while spots are still available.

2/28/13: Spring Break!

We will be closed over Spring break (no lessons or office hours). We will return to our regular schedule on March 4th.

9/8/12: The Hub is open for the Fall, with more services than ever!

Welcome back! We've got the same lessons as we have in the past. In addition we have 9 hours of consulting availble per week, held by a variety of very experianced folks. Check out our staff page.

5/31/12: The CSESPL has changed names

With the recent name change of the CSE building to the BBB, we have followed in kind. The CSE Student Projects lab will now be the Michigan Embedded Systems Hub. The name also implies that the Hub is to be utilized as a resource for all disciplines and majors. If you know of anyone that is in need of aid on their embedded project, please refer them to the Embedded Systems Hub!

4/3/12: Office Hours Change on April 17

Office hours on Tuesday 4/17/12 will be moved to 5pm-7pm. Please plan accordingly.

3/29/12: All Lessons Full

All lessons are now full. However, cancelations do occur, so check back frequently for openings.

If there is a specific class that you are interested in taking, email cse-splab@umich.edu to be put on a wait list for automatic enrollment in the event of a cancelation.

If you are enrolled for a SPLab class and need to cancel, email cse-splab@umich.edu ASAP so your spot can be filled by someone else.
